Tvary a farby / Shapes and colors

Holdovanie Montessori pedagogike spôsobuje, že začnete pociťovať stúpajúce vzrušenie pri vneme krabičky alebo košíka. V pripravenom prostredí podľa Montessori sú hračky a aktivity pre deti uložené na poličke, atraktívne a zrozumiteľne prístupné, na čo sa často hodia práve košíky. A tým, že ponuka hračiek je kvantitatívne limitovaná (aktuálne má dieťa vyložených len niekoľko hračiek), skladovanie v skrini uľahčujú napríklad krabičky.

Ja som na krabičkách závislá už dávno. Vidíte, možno preto to Montessori u nás doma, hoci mám pocit, že teraz sa nám fakt nedarí, potrebujeme to doma trochu pomeniť.

Od mojej predrahej Katky som dostala vzorkovník farebných koží, ktoré jej muž, interiérový dizajnér,  používal v práci. Už sme z nich nastrihali všeličo. Včera prišli na rad farby a tvary.

Pravidlá hry: Hráč (rozumej drobec) si vytiahne paličku a podľa maličkého znaku na nej hľadá veľký znak, ktorý má rovnakú farbu aj tvar. Potom podobne hrá rodič, či ďalšie dieťa. Keď sme hru prvýkrát dohrali, Agátka utekala pre voľný košík a poobzerala sa dookola. "Na poličku chcem dať," čo znamená, že sa jej páči a že ju chce mať vyloženú. Príspevek píšem na chalupe, kde žiadne nízke poličky nie sú, tak hra skončila na truhlici. Ale ako vravím, Montessori, krabičky a košíky...

A simple game of shape and color recognition. Made of wooden ice cream sticks and pieces of leather. The player (meaning a toddler) draws a stick with a tiny shape and then searches for a matching large shape.The players take turns.

Agatka has shown signs of boxes-and-baskets addiction due to the Montessori approach at home :-). I placed the stickes and the shapes in a box. My two year old then looked around, found a spare basket, put the game inside and looked around with words "Want to put them on a shelf". We're just in my parents' village house and there are no such shelves. It was sweet though to see how Agatka understands the way I prepare her surroundings for her. We use low shelves where each toy or activity has its own, attractive and visible place (although our reality rarely reaches the attractive ideal!). Baskets are often helpful to keep the small parts together. And then boxes are wonderful for toys to be stored in when they're not on the shelves currently. It also makes cleaning a bit easier. Enjoy the game, it was oh-so-wonderfully-easy-to-make-and-still-greatly-appreciated.
